John Cummins
John is a psychotherapist and psychiatric nurse, with over 15 years’ experience in the HSE and the Student Health Department in UCC.
He is an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), and completed his studies at Trinity College Dublin.
He is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is a certified mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) teacher.
John has lectured on the mental health nursing programme and on the postgraduate diploma in cognitive behavioural psychotherapy in University College Cork.
He specialises in stress management, generalised anxiety disorder, anxiety, low mood and trauma.
Gail Beacham
Gail is a mental health nurse and psychotherapist with 30 years’ experience working in the HSE and the NHS in Northern Ireland.
She is a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT). She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and holds a postgraduate certificate in Trauma Studies.
Gail is skilled in supporting people to overcome self-criticism and feelings of guilt, shame, sadness and anxiety.
Gail has been practicing yoga for several years and is completing a training to become a certified yoga teacher. She incorporates body awareness, simple movement and breathing practices into her work.
